Exploring west of Highway 40 for a good while, making more or less random turns on dirt roads, we came to a manmade damn and lake. This water level was low, although several lakes we passed were more or less full. This one got enough of our attention to roam around the area for a good long while. Maybe the guy fishing on the shore was the key for this stop. Maybe it was a feeling that the road didn’t go much higher into the mountains. Who know? It was just a good stop.
