Wildlife Playing in the Frozen Bow Lake

Back in the car, after a few shots at the Bow Lake overlook, Mark said “the Norwegian Polar is in the water down there” - pointing toward a beach area. We needed to see more. It was five or six guys - probably in their 20’s. The language they used most seemed to be something like German. A couple of them could communicate with us in English. And, they were stripped to their undershorts – boxers or otherwise. Apparently, they had all been into the water. Two were still playing with the ice. Others were taking pictures and said it was alright for us to shoot. There was a neatly folded and piled set of cloths - except the underwear.
