Our next turn off Icefield Parkway was at a lodge, restaurant and gift shop at Sunwapta Falls. A tremendous amount of water was flowing through a 30 wide “crack” in a rock formation. The drop is sixty feet, in the form of an upper fall and a lower fall, with the stream soon flowing into the Athabasca River. Both cascades are spectacular from good waking trails and a bridge over the upper falls. We walked the area for pictures and video from several perspectives. Then, we had lunch.
