On our way to Cameron Lake, this guy was by the road, pretty much unconcerned about the people who had stopped to see him, while he munched on vegetation. Like a rooky, I started snapping away from the car window with a 70-300mm lens set at 155mm. The histogram was perfect and the color looked great on the LCD. I didn’t notice that I was getting shutter speeds around 1/45th of a second, when I needed something more like 1/250th or faster. Of 20 images, this is the only one that didn’t have unacceptable motion blur. The camera could have handled faster shutter speeds if I had been paying attention. I should be thankful for this.
